Baghdad, April 2003. Saddam Hussein’s regime has been toppled, bringing joy and relief to Iraqi-Kurdish exiles everywhere. Far away in Germany, Azad, a Kurdish exile has invited over his exiled Iraqi friends to celebrate the event. As the guests dance, sing and rejoice together, a continuous stream of images is shown on television - and the initial joy becomes fused with ongoing tensions and betrayals.
Bagdad, avril 2003. La chute du régime de Saddam Hussein procure joie et soulagement aux exilés du Kurdistan irakien. En Allemagne, Azad célèbre cet événement avec ses amis. Pendant que ses invités dansent, chantent et se réjouissent, un défiléininterrompu d’images est retransmis à la télévision. Mais chez Azad, les rancoeurs, les querelles et les secrets enfouis depuis longtemps refont bientôt surface.
