A sympathetic collection of five short films,shot in the Turkish province of Kars, on the border with Armenia: the puppy love between a boy and a girl on their winter trip to school, the memories of a young woman about her mother’s response to her first menstruation and bra,and the story of a student who returns to his village, but all too soon flees again for the past that is waiting for him there. The stories take place strikingly often around the cemetery and look at things from the past being revealed. Among the five directors are three debutants, chosen to film their stories after winning a scenario contest.
Cinq charmants petits films,tournés dans la province turque de Kars, sur la frontière Arménienne : les amours de deux adolescents en route pour l’école, les souvenirs d’une jeune filleface à la réaction de sa mère à l’annonce de ses premières règles et de son premier soutien-gorge, un étudiant qui retourne à son village mais qui s’en enfuit aussitôt en raison des souvenirs qui l’y attendent. Une grande partie de l’action se déroule bizarrement près du cimetière et ressuscite des histoires anciennes. Trois des cinq réalisateurs sont des débutants, choisis après avoir remporté un concours de scénarios.
