While many Taylor Lautner fans are upset he isn’t going to be in Marvel’s “X-Men: First Class” movie, it wasn’t because he wasn’t asked to be! Turns out one of the producers of the film, Bryan Singer, tried to get Taylor in the film. Source

Unconfirmed reports have KickAss’ Aaron Johnson wearing the Cyclops visor in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class.

More possible casting news from director Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class. Last week we reported that Alice Eve (She’s Out of My League, Sex and the City 2) had been cast as Emma Frost, and now it is reported that actor Aaron Johnson has been cast to play the future X-Men leader Scott Summers/Cyclops. Amber Heard may end up stripping naked and covering herself in blue body paint for her next movie role of Mystique in X-Men: First Class.

Since this is a prequel Heard would be playing a younger version of the shape-shifting character made famous by Rebecca Romijn in the other X-Men films. Physically at least, she seems a suitable replacement. Romijn’s take on the character required almost no dialogue, and the character spends a lot of time as other people (which means being played by other actors), so I’m not sure the part really requires anything beyond the ability to look good naked. Heard has that nailed. Source
